It is recommended to set company vacations in settings and not in the vacation planner (though this is possible). This has the advantage that all shifts are automatically marked with -x- in the duty roster, as no one is needed during company vacations.
Vacation Planner
The absence/vacation planner is opened by clicking on the airplane button.
The plan can be scrolled horizontally by either dragging the horizontal scroll bar to the left or right or, alternatively, using the scroll wheel when the mouse is over the date fields.
The plan can be scrolled up and down with the mouse wheel when the mouse is positioned over the name fields.
To plan or change an absence, click in the cell with the correct name and date. Select the correct type of absence from the drop-down menu that opens. This will set the absence for the date. If you need a longer period, e.g. for vacation or illness etc., click in the cell and drag it to the end date. Do the same for the start of the absence.
To shorten the absence, click in the white cell to the right or left of the absence period and then drag in the absence to make it white again.
In this way, an employee can also request leave (set red absence) and the supervisor can change the corresponding period to green and thus approve it.
To see the absences of the last 12 months, double-click on the employee’s name. The absences are then displayed in different colors in a small window.
All absences are automatically visible in the time recording and duty roster. Conversely, changes to the duty roster are also automatically updated in the vacation planner.
